£41 BILLION PIP Crisis: 'The System Is Hemorrhaging Money'

A government-commissioned review found that the current Personal Independence Payment (PIP) process is failing many disabled people, with claimants describing assessments as dehumanising and overly complex.

While disability benefit spending is forecast to keep rising, ministers say the priority is creating a fairer, more effective system rather than simply cutting costs.

The final recommendations are expected later this year and could lead to major reforms.
