We are currently developing the system and making sure our factory is up to scratch, in the summer of 2019 the first installed system in a showroom will be in place in Gothenburg, hopefully expanding to other cities soon. Introducing Solros – a sunshine harvesting system that captures 10k lumen and lead the full spectrum sunlight into dark rooms via a fiber optic cable.

The company – and the system – will be introduced with a Kickstarter campaign and later in 2018 and 2019 go for a full-scale global launch, both through partners and via solros.com

The Solros system has been invented, patented and developed in Sweden during the last few years and consists of three main parts:

1 Dish: A sun-seeking mirror dish that is placed on roofs or any other place where it will get as much sunshine as possible during the course of the day.
2 Cable: A cable consisting of a bundle of 37 fiber optics.
3 Lightbox: The luminaire that distributes the sunlight, to be mounted in ceilings, wall pockets or any other place that would benefit from Real Light.

Now it’s up the users to explore how the technique can be used – Solros is all about collaboration and we cannot wait to get going on exciting project with architects, interior designers and technicians-

And maybe most important: the Solros system will lead the way to a more sustainable future – in fact, the company’s main mission is to lower the worlds appetite for electric (fake!) lights.
