Performance and Mechanical Upgrades
Engine: The GT-R NISMO is powered by a NISMO-tuned 3.8-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine, hand-assembled by takumi master craftspeople, that produces 600 horsepower and 481 lb-ft of torque. The engine features high-precision, weight-balanced parts and GT3 racecar-derived turbochargers for enhanced response.
Drivetrain & Handling: It features Nissan's advanced ATTESA E-TS All-Wheel Drive system and a 6-speed dual-clutch transmission with paddle shifters. New for 2024 is a mechanical front limited-slip differential, working in concert with the rear limited-slip differential to enhance traction and chassis balance.
Braking System: The car is equipped with a high-performance Nissan/Brembo® Carbon Ceramic Braking System, featuring large 16.14-inch front and 15.35-inch rear rotors and super-rigid calipers, which are strong, exceptionally light, and heat-resistant.
Suspension: The suspension is NISMO-tuned with custom-developed Bilstein® DampTronic® dampers and a NISMO-tuned 17.3 mm hollow rear stabilizer bar, offering three driver-selectable modes (Normal, Comfort, and R).
Chassis Rigidity: Additional adhesive bonding is applied to key spot welds, enhancing the body shell's torsional rigidity for improved stability and handling.
Exterior and Aerodynamics
Aerodynamic Body Design: The GT-R NISMO features an aggressive aerodynamic body design with redesigned front and rear fascias, front lip spoiler, canards, and side sills to generate significant downforce while maintaining a sleek 0.26 Cd drag coefficient.
Carbon Fiber Components: Extensive use of lightweight carbon fiber is employed throughout the vehicle, including the hood, trunk lid, roof, front fenders, and side sills, which lowers the center of gravity and reduces overall weight.
Rear Spoiler: A new competition-derived "swan neck" rear spoiler features an almost 10% larger surface area than the standard model, further optimizing downforce. The handmade dry carbon-fiber material is clear-coated, allowing the weave to be visible and felt by touch.
Wheels and Tires: It rides on lightweight 20-inch NISMO black RAYS® forged-alloy wheels wrapped in Dunlop® SP Sport Maxx® GT 600 DSST CTT high-performance run-flat tires with a NISMO-specific compound. An optional NISMO Appearance Package adds red accents to the wheels.
Interior Features
Seating: The interior features deeply contoured NISMO Recaro® leather-appointed front seats with synthetic-suede inserts, designed to hold occupants firmly in place during high-performance driving.
Interior Accents: The cabin showcases a NISMO black/red interior treatment, including signature red stitching on the seats, gear shift, and an Alcantara®-wrapped steering wheel with a racing-inspired red 12 o'clock marker.
