Kunafa RecipePreparation time: 15 minutesCooking time: 50 minutesServes: 4-5
Ingredients:500g Kunafa dough or vermicelli170g Cream
300g unsalted mozzarella cheese1/2 unsalted butter2 cups sugar1 cup water1 tsp rose water
1 tsp lemon juiceCrushed pistachios for garnish
Rose petal for garnish
Method:
Prepare sugar syrup by boiling sugar and water. Add rose water. Let it cool.
Now prepare the mixture with heavy cream and mozzarella cheese. Mix well. To make the kunafa dough crush the vermicelli and mix butter in it. Grease the pan and put a base on it and then layer it with cream cheese mixture. Top with remaining kunafa dough. Bake at 180°C for 40 minutes or until golden. Pour syrup over hot kunafa and garnish with pistachios & dry rose petal. Serve warm and enjoy!
