The Best Hazelburn Sherry Release Yet? Hazelburn 15 Year Oloroso 2023 Single Malt Scotch Whisky

Описание: Today I am reviewing the 2023 release of the Hazelburn 15 year old Oloroso Cask matured Campbeltown Single Malt Scotch Whisky. This is the most recent release from the very popular Hazelburn Sherry Wood Series from the Springbank distillery. Hazelburn, Springbank's triple distilled and un-peated single malt, seems criminally underrated in the Springbank portfolio. And while I would argue that it is less popular than Springbank or Longrow I have yet to be able to find or purchase a single one of the Hazelburn Sherry wood releases. I believe this edition is the 7th release in the Hazelburn Sherry Wood series. This release was fully matured for 15 years in Oloroso Sherry casks. 9,000 bottles were filled at 55.8%. As always with Springbank products, this whisky is non-chill Filtered and bottled with no colour added. While I haven't had an opportunity to purchase any of these whiskies I have been able to try samples of a number of them. This one really left an impression and certainly triggered some latent FOMO. Good thing for my wallet that there is about a 0.1% chance of coming across this one where I am. So, is this the best Hazelburn Sherry Wood Edition yet? Watch along to find out.
