So for some background info me and a friend were up around the Haverhill area to see CSX L080, a train from Rigby Yard in Portland, Maine, to the yard in Lawrence. As the train was working the yard, there was a couple commuter trains that passed us.
Lawrence MA seems to be no stranger to tragedy on the rails, probably because of the lack of railroad safety around the area. This crossing in particular has a lot of car and foot traffic, sometimes having to stop on the tracks to wait for cars to move. So, it is no surprise that this happened. I am glad that the dude didn't trip in front of the train, it would have ended horribly.
