Описание: Normopathy is a pathological pursuit for conformity and social approval. This term was coined by psychoanalyst Joyce McDougall to describe fear of individuality. Normopaths are obsessed with the idea of "normalcy", they are difficult to diagnose due to the fact that they are integrated into society, carefully adjusting to social expectations. Normopaths do not have their own opinions, their own beliefs, they learn and accept them from other people. Normopath is not interested in own inner life or is afraid of real self, which can be rejected by others. Here we can talk about psychophobia – fear of examining your own psyche.
