Electro Freestyle — жанр электронной танцевальной музыки, возникший на стыке нескольких жанров Electro, Techno, Eurodance, Hip-Hop, Freestyle под влиянием таких исполнителей как Freestyle Project, Music Instructor, Flying Steps и других.
Периодом расцвета Electro Freestyle можно считать конец 90х и начало 2000х, когда жанр был популярен среди танцоров брейк-данса и всей хип-хоп культуры в этот период времени.
Сейчас этот жанр полностью живёт в андерграунде, но всё же имеет не мало фанатов, и до сих пор поддерживается на плаву благодаря нескольким исполнителям.

Latin freestyle or simply freestyle music is a form of electronic dance music that emerged in the New York metropolitan area and Philadelphia, primarily among Hispanic Americans and Italian Americans in the 1980s.
It experienced its greatest popularity from the late 1980s until the early 1990s. A common theme of freestyle lyricism originated as heartbreak in an urban environment typified by New York City.
The first freestyle hit is often said to have been "Let the Music Play" by Shannon, released in 1983. Freestyle music is a Latin American-based rhythm with a heavy syncopated drum sound.
This style of electro funk was defined as "freestyle" because of the way it was produced and mixed. Chris Barbosa is widely credited as the genre's founder.
