🐟🦅 Shadow showed up with breakfast AND the energy today! After delivering a fresh fish
to his Queen Jackie, it was straight into full nest restoration mode — a total of 5 sticks
and fluff brought between them, with Jackie doing her signature pancakes to get everything
just right. These two are UNSTOPPABLE. 💪

It started before sunrise — Jackie and Shadow were spotted side by side on the Lookout
Snag as the valley woke up. Then it was game on. Shadow flew in with his fish delivery at
11:35, Jackie brought sticks, Shadow brought fluff, and the nest got a serious upgrade
today. Oh, and Fiona? She was busy doing her own midnight rounds too 🐿️❤️

After heartbreak in late January when ravens breached their eggs, Jackie and Shadow
have shown INCREDIBLE resilience — continuing to mate, nest restore, and show up for
each other every single day. We are watching and hoping for a replacement clutch. 🥚✨

🦅 About Jackie & Shadow:
Jackie (~14 years old) and Shadow (~12 years old) are Big Bear's ONLY known year-round
nesting Bald Eagle pair. Their nest sits 145 feet high in a Jeffrey Pine overlooking
stunning Big Bear Lake — roughly 5.5 to 6 feet wide and 6 feet deep, built stick by
stick with love. Jackie is large and in charge 👑. Shadow is the devoted provider,
nest manager, and fish-delivery guy extraordinaire 🐟.

Together they've successfully raised 4 eaglets: Simba, Spirit, Sunny & Gizmo.
We trust Jackie and Shadow. Their story isn't over. ❤️
