As seen on Channel 4’s Grand Designs, the Eco Slate is a synthetic plastic roofing slate. The roofing slates bespoke formulation make it extremely strong and very flexible. Eco Slate is manufactured from 100% recycled materials which gives the product a really authentic and natural slate look.

The Eco Slate is very flexible, and it is also used as the Ridge Tile, Hip Tile, Verge and Valley. This unique product makes installation extremely easy, especially for a newbie looking to do any DIY project. Because of its unique flexibility there are no need for any extra custom fittings or accessories and the product can be cut easily with a stanley knife or snips.

Another great attribute to the Eco Slate is that they are self-bonding. This means that after you have installed the roof the slates will naturally bond together over time, creating a roof that is wind (up to 110mp) and weather resistant even at pitches as low as 10 degrees.

This fantastic plastic slate tile is un-breakable and anti-vandal. No more patch repairing or maintenance will be required with the 50 year warranty that comes with the roof tiles.

The plastic slates can be installed directly onto plyboard or OSB board, no roof battens are required. A standard breathable membrane is then laid and then the slates can be nailed down in two fixing points located on the slates it’s that easy.

Each pack of 34 slates covers 2m2 (depending on roof pitch) 17 slates on average per square metre for a pitch of 20 to 45 degrees. 7 slates per linear metre for valleys, hips and ridges and 3 slates per linear metre for verges.
