In a previous video, I had replaced the lobster tail with the MNNTHBX tail plate mount. While I really loved how small and simple it was, there was one major flaw. It is angled just right that one wrong bump and the license plate could get caught on the tire. One easy option is to heat up the mount and bend it a bit flatter.
Instead, I decided to go ahead and compare it to the Yoshimura Fender Eliminator Kit. This is a little bit longer and a little bit flatter, and I think puts the license plate in a generally more acceptable location. The kit is a little more expensive but also includes a license plate LED. Overall, I'm happy with this option and would likely recommend the Yoshimura over the MNNTHBX option.
