The video shows the ' making of' ' a new kind of RC Experimental Rotorwing, using the MAGNUS - Effect, designed comparable to a motorized parachute, but using a rotating FLETTNER- wing with Thom - Rings, rotating with 800 - 2000 RPM - instead of the parachute-sail. No control surfaces, assisting winglets or other unnecessary stuff :-)) are used. It comes with a 3D vector control unit, approved in many RC - Vector Kites, with 650grs. of thrust. The 'barrel wing' is driven by a 25grs. weighing BL - motor with a belt-drive ratio of 4:1. Total flightweight is 520grs.
