Suitable for beginners up to and including Level 1. These sessions are fitness and skill sessions where you practice both offensive and defensive aspects of Muay Thai. Classes are conducted in a disciplined, safe, positive and controlled environment. Phoenix is a graded and organised system that will ensure your fitness and skills improve and that you learn authentic and practical skills. Classes include technique practice in the mirror, partner work, shield work, bag work and general free body fitness drills. All Phoenix classes are coached by people with over ten years' experience at Muay Thai who have extensive competition experience and many years sparring training. The lead coaches have Australian and International professional titles and are experts at teaching beginners and getting people started in the system. There is no sparring in any beginner classes and all classes are safe and organised. You must get your own boxing gloves, mouthguard to train in regular classes once you are a member. Shin guards are required before intermediate classes.
To attend our graded classes you must be graded to the appropriate level to attend. You should also attend the level of class you are graded to. To learn more about grading -- ASK.
Fighter training classes are provided for people graded Level 1 and above who want to train like a fighter, get fighting fit and develop the skills and fitness needed to compete. Suitable for anyone who wants to train like a fighter or has a desire to compete one day. Train with the FIGHT TEAM and develop your skills to compete one day. All Level 1 or 2 people are welcome to attend this class as a training option. The class requires a little more self reliance, a lot more team work and a considerable amount of effort. A great class for everyone to enjoy a challenge.
