This makes farming very expensive and unprofitable exercise.
Amidst all this, I have come up with a solution to your problem, which I simple and easy . In Kenya almost 80% of farmers keep chickens. And throw away the chicken droppings after cleaning their houses. The chickens dropping is an important component when making chicken manure tea. This tea has proven to have high content of nitrogen required by plants. Which is the main element that promotes growth. In addition to other vital macronutrient.

Requirements for making chicken manure tea.
To prepare the brew, you don't need fancy equipment, to prepare. You only need:

1. An old bucket
2. Chicken manure old manure not fresh. ( Fresh have a potential of bacteria such as E.coli, Salmonella etc.)
3. Water
4. Rope/Ribbon
5. Lid
6. Stirrer
7. An old pillowcase/ non woven Paperbag.

Normally, when diluting, the manure with water is diluted in the ration of 1:4.

a) Add the manure into the pillowcase.
b) Place it in the bucket.
c) Add water in the remaining space untill 2/3 full and cover it with a lid.
d) Leave the mixture for 4-5 days in the sun.
e) Ensure to stir daily to allow oxygen in to prevent growth of anaerobic bacteria such as E.coli.

Key principle for use.
▫️Ensure you dilute your manure tea before adding to your plant.
▫️The colour of the tea should be red-brown or yellow tone.
▫️When watering the plant, add at the base of the plant. Don't water directly to the leaves.
▫️The brew should be given to plants atleast twice per week, to see good results, though this is left for the gardener to decide.

Disadvantage
▫️Should be well diluted before applying on plants.
▫️Produces very bad smell during preparation hence should be kept far from the house.
