On Sunday, August 17, 2025, at 11:30 AM, I was at Plaça de la Vila de Gràcia in Barcelona for the Festa Major de Gràcia — one of the city’s most famous summer festivals. The streets of the Gràcia neighborhood are decorated with colorful handmade displays, music fills the plazas, and traditions take center stage.
One of the highlights is the performance of the Castellers, or human towers — a unique Catalan tradition recognized by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage. Teams of men, women, and children climb on each other’s shoulders to form breathtaking human constructions, cheered on by the crowd and accompanied by traditional gralla music.
In this vlog, I captured the magic of the Festa Major de Gràcia 2025, where three groups of Castellers performed some incredible towers.
