Test the CATHTIP Magnum’s pneumatic system to explore optimal cooling rates and flexible clamping pressure. With your machine connected to your facility's compressed air supply, enter the HMI. Go to the Manual page and look at the Pressure Box. The cooling step is as important as the heating step for developing rapid cycles. To explore cooling control, ensure that the Air Cooling Blocks on your Black Box set-up are pointed directly at the heating zone. Air pressure values entered in the operator interface are translated to cooling air and grip force by way of 2 proportional pressure regulators. Input 0-100 PSI into the cooling field and turn on and off. To avoid damaging or collapsing the catheter during clamping, input a low PSI into the clamping field at first then work your way up to your application’s durometer capacity. Inserting mandrels inside the material lumens also helps to avoid collapse.
