along paths my eyes cannot yet see,
when the road is veiled by mist
and tomorrow hides its face from me.
Be the lamp before my steps,
the whisper that stills my fear,
the steady hand upon my shoulder
when the night feels near.
Lead me when my strength is dust
and my knees begin to bend,
when my voice is thin with pleading
and my tears have no end.
You are the Rock that does not move,
the Truth that does not fade,
the faithful word spoken softly
before the world was made.
Lead me through the valley low,
where shadows stretch and wait,
where every breath feels heavy
and hope seems small and late.
Teach my heart to trust Your way,
not the wisdom of my sight,
for You walk ahead in fire by day
and guard me through the night.
Lead me away from prideful paths,
from the snare of my own will,
from the voice that says, “I know enough,”
yet leaves my spirit still.
Break what must be broken,
shape what must be made new,
let my life become a vessel
formed and filled by You.
Lead me into righteousness,
into justice, truth, and love,
that my steps may echo heaven
and my walk reflect above.
Let mercy guide my actions,
let humility be my song,
let obedience be my offering
when the journey feels long.
Lead me, Aba Yahawah,
into Your holy place,
where fear is cast out by peace
and time rests in Your grace.
There I will bow in silence,
there my striving will cease,
for to be led by You, O Father,
is the fullness of peace.
Lead me until my final breath,
until faith becomes my sight,
until the road of pilgrimage
ends in eternal light.
You are my beginning and my end,
my Shepherd, King, and Way
