After a two year hiatus from acting, I recently moved to Tokyo to start doing it again. Over the past few months, I've already had many interesting and challenging experiences as a foreign talent in the Japanese entertainment industry. One of my biggest challenges has been using a language I'm not fluent in at auditions and on set, so I was quite impressed when I heard Thelma's story.

Thelma moved to Japan seven years ago to study at a Japanese acting school - she was one of two foreigners in her program. In this video, I sat down with her to discuss our thoughts on acting in Japan as foreigners: stereotypes, auditioning, challenges, future plans, etc.
