In Scottish folklore, a Gruagach is supposed to be a household spirit form, it cleans your house at night in exchange for offerings of milk or cream. In Mike Mignola’s Universe, he is the last hope of his kind, who was transformed into a terrifying monster during a ritual that was interrupted by Big Red himself.
