Why Is Knowing the Sex Important?
Male Plants produce pollen
Desirable by breeders

Female Plants produce high amount of cannabinoids
Desirable to growers looking to produce high chemical and terpen densities
Cloning Plant
The cloning process is the same as if the plan was to propagate the plant.

Growers should take an early branch for the plant to be able to determine the gender before preflowers develop naturally.

However, the goal is to ensure this is a quick process since growers what to know what plants to cull and which ones to keep.

Unlike traditional cloning the photoperiod the clones should be under is a 12/12 flowering duration.
Forcing Flowers
The flowering photoperiod will induce flower formation

This is the goal since the morphology of the flower produced will indicate the gender of the plant.

Keeping records is important so growers know what branch clone matches what stock (original) plant.
