Purplebricks UK Listed My House For Sale - what you should know

Описание: We recently put our house in Spalding, Lincolnshire on the market and decided to use Purplebricks as our estate agent. I do like the low fee they charge and think that for the level of satisfaction that most British people have in the home selling process, the lower the fee the better.

No matter how much estate agents swear up and down about how professional they are and how much value they bring, that is just simply not the case. I have worked with them and can tell you in no uncertain terms, they are not professionals and they are not professional. I will go so far as to say, they bring absolutely no value to you as a home seller except they are the only way to get your house on Rightmove and Zoopla.

Anyways, I digress. I decided to use Purplebricks and then share my experience with the world.

To start with, their so called Local Property Expert was neither "local" nor an "expert". So far as Purplebricks claiming that they have "local property experts" in your area who know your market because they have lived and sold homes their for years, that is not the case in many areas.

Purplebricks is forcing themselves to grow so fast with this insatiable desire to be the biggest real estate firm in the world, that they are hiring agents in one area to cover an area that is often times over 40 miles away. That agent then researches your area just enough that when they show up to your home, they tell you one or two things to make you think they know everything about your immediate area.

One of the first things Purplebricks agents will ask you when you request a valuation is "what are your pricing expectations?" or "What do you think your house is worth?" This really pisses me off because you told me the "you" were the local property expert! Should't YOU be telling me what my home is worth?

Anyways, aside from those little issues, I really do like their client web portal. As a seller, you are able to see how visible your property is on both the Purplebricks website as well as Rightmove. Also you get the contact information of everybody coming to view your property, so you know who they are. You are also able to schedule your viewings directly with the potential buyer and don't need to communicate through the agent which is really nice.

All in all, at this point in the process I really like how easy it is with Purplebricks even though they are just as full of shit as any other estate agent in England.
