One of my personal favorites. It's unfortunate that these Sonic games often get glossed over because they're "just" handhelds games. Especially when I'd argue that they are overall quite a bit better than most console Sonic games.
I may have gotten a little too personal there. But I felt it added to my analysis as I can understand Blaze's struggle in this story a little better than most. If you want to see a fantastic story that tackles this kind of topic with much more nuance, I highly recommend the series My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU. That series connected with me on a very deep level, and was actually very important in helping me start to heal.
Hope you liked my little bit of diving into Sonic's character here. I plan to eventually do a whole video going in-depth on him and his meaning as a character.
Did not expect this video to be this long. But I've said that too many times already by this point. I should just expect it, no matter how small a Sonic story might be.
