"Super Mario Flash" (also known and abbreviated as SMF1) is the first of two online games developed by Pouetpu and released on the Pouetpu-games site. "Super Mario Flash" is entirely based off of the Nintendo game "Super Mario Bros." SNES version, and also combines several features of different games such "Super Mario Bros. 3" & "Super Mario World". "Super Mario Flash" includes two protagonists, our dear beloved plumbers: Mario and Luigi. The main-menu of the game will show you the title card "Super Mario Flash" & in a overworld with both Mario & Luigi running around the area. In the menu, you'll find the play button, which if you select, then you'll have to choose the hero you're gonna go to save Princess Peach from Bowser's dirty hands. Next, is the "Level Editor", where you can use your imagination & create your own levels using the tiles & NPCs from this flash-game. I used to mess up with it a lot when I was a kid, making various, crazy levels. It's amazing! Anyway, moving on, there's also an "Option" button where you can change the graphics' quality of the game, you can check out the player's controls (LEFT/RIGHT keys for movement ; UP key to jump ; DOWN to crouch & SPACE to shoot fireballs), turn the sound on/off & a button to turn on/off the scrolling background & last, to change the player's name from Mario to anything if you want so... And the last button is "Info" to see the credits of the game, who made it ( and his contact address), the version of the game (currently 3.0) & the year it came out, 2007. When you start playing, you'll be redirected to the map that's basically a SMB3 one style & uses the tilesets from World 4. The start point is going to be Princess Peach's castle & next to it, there's a Toad House from where you can get a free power-up (Mushroom, Fire Flower or Star) that's been put in random chests, so choose wisely 'cuz you get only one chance. From here on, you'll have to beat the first 5 level from the first side of the map, 'cuz it has 2 sides with 5 more levels on it. The 1st level is a "Overworld" one, with enemies like: Goombas, Koopas & Piranha Plants, all took from SMB SNES version. The blocks used are from SMB as well & SMW video-games. The items, just like in the rest of the level, found in this game are: Coins (from SMW), Mushroom, Fire Flower, Star (SMB). At the end of each level, you'll find a flagpole that you have to pull it down, then you'll enter the little castle & continue with the next levels. The 2nd level takes place Underground, with the same enemies, but this time we have now Bullet Bills & Buzzy Beetles. The 3rd level is a Treetop level, where you gotta do lots of jumps & move on with platforms. The 4th level is a Forest one, from: "SMW", where we meet a new enemy here, Spiny. The 5th level is the first castle offered by this game, with lots of pits filled with lava, enemies from previous levels, Podoboos as new enemies here & obstacles like Fire Bars. You'll also confront a Bowser here, that's a fake one & when you beat it, you'll rescue Toad, who'll hand you a hammer with which you gotta break a rock that blocks your way to another Toad House from where you can buy 1-ups/extra lives for 10000 points each. The levels 6,7,8 & 9 from the other side of the map are basically harder versions of the first 4, with more pits to easily fall in, more Bill Blasters & other enemies to make your life a living hell & more enemies like: Lakitu. Here's you'll find a 3rd Toad House from where you get to choose a power-up for your trip one more time. After beating all levels & going through all Pipe Passages, it's time to deal with the real Bowser, by going in his Castle that's like a maze & will have all foes here & pits with lava & Fire Bars, making it more dangerous than the previous one. Bowser will attack you by breathing fire & throwing hammers. After defeating him, you'll finally rescue Princess Peach & it's end of the game. Want more content like this?
