"Dog Tired" Backpacking Trip - Part 2

Описание: Day 2 of our backpacking trip began in the predawn hours as we were awoken by a brisk November wind. The opportunity to watch the sun rising through the pine trees was well worth the early awaking however. After a quick meal (and a much needed cup of coffee!), we set off down the trail in search of a location that offered more protection from the relentless wind. Once free from the bite of the wind, we happened upon a patch of sunlight that was very welcomed and restored not only our spirits, but our energy level as well. Along the way we encountered a bit of collateral wind damage, a few patches of snow, gorgeous views glimpsed through the trees, and an ever elusive "Bigfoot Nest" ;-) (identifiable only via the help of good buddy "Cragdwella"). Once camp 2 was established we revitalized ourselves with a bit of food, rest, and a good game of fetch. The rest of our time was spent simply relaxing and enjoying the evening. Our journey down the mountain concluded with the sighting of several mule deer feeding and playing on a sagebrush covered hillside. All-in-all, an excellent trip... and one to remember!
