Описание: RENAISSANCE PAINTING AND MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS: the “Adimari” wedding chest. After a few calculations and some experimentation, I was convinced that it would be possible to build an instrument based upon one depicted in a famous Florentine panel painting by Giovanni di Ser Giovanni. I proposed the idea to Nathaniel Wood, expert instrument builder as well as player. This is the instrument Nate built: a large slide trumpet in G at 522 Hz. The music is a contratenor composed by Robert Morton (ca.1430–1479) to the chanson “L’Homme Armé.”
