Why fill in a route card?
Before departing you'll know what distance will be covered, what height will be climbed and how long the walk will take but also what you can expect to meet along the way.
The route card can then be used to judge whether the walk is within our ability and should we pull back on or maybe push out the distance a little more.
It can be used to help arrange tranpsort, a pick-up at the end maybe, but also the route card can be left with someone we trust in case of emergency or late arrival back.
