This piece is the finale of the first act from the musical ‘Miss Saigon’ and I arranged it for 8 french horns, although played by 20 in this video :)
I am incredibly lucky to have had the opportunity for NYFHE to play my arrangement and for me to conduct it!
It was performed on the 22nd August 2025 in the Princess Hall at Cheltenham Ladies College.
This wouldn’t have been possible without the help and encouragement of Tim Jackson (seen playing first horn in this video) with my arranging in the last couple years. A huge thanks to the other tutors Tim Thorpe, Tom Taffinder and Zoe Tweed for giving me the confidence to conduct despite my lack of experience.
The Nicholas Branston Foundation (@nicholasbranstonfoundation1915) who run this course are amazing and I hope to be back once again in the future.
