Israel's long-term goals for Lebanon are likely far more extensive: Analysis

Israeli media are reporting more than 110 missiles have been fired from Lebanon into northern Israel since Friday morning.
At least 25 people have been killed according to the Lebanese health ministry.
Three people were reported injured in Deir al Assad in northern Israel, after a barrage of rockets were fired from Lebanon.

Meanwhile Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has again vowed to respond to Iran’s missile attack last week.
Almost 200 missiles were fired from Iran into Israel. Most of them were intercepted, but some hit two air bases and areas around the headquarters of the Israeli intelligence agency Mossad, in Tel Aviv.

Nabeel Khoury is a former US Diplomat who's currently a Non-resident senior fellow at the Arab Center.
He says Israel's long-term goals for Lebanon are likely far more extensive, than simply pushing back Hezbollah.
