It is with great joy and humility that we were blessed to have Dr. Muralidhara Rao as our Guest Speaker for this edition. Having been associated with Bhagawan since childhood and in His Service since many decades, Dr. Rao has been blessed with several personal experiences and lessons which he shared with us at this edition of Samarpan.

Dr. Muralidhar Rao was born in Krishna District of Andhra Pradesh. After completing his basic schooling in rural Andhra Pradesh, he went on to do his B. Sc.and M.Sc. in Krishna District and Hyderabad respectively. He then joined Bhabha Atomic Research Center (B.A.R.C.) in Mumbai as a scientist in 1966. He completed his Ph.D. while working there in 1977. He has also worked at National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) from 1988 to 1992, and subsequently with several academic and research institutions across the world including U.S.A, India, and Taiwan.
All this while, Dr. Rao has been an active and integral part of the Sai Organization. He was blessed to have come to Bhagawan as a young child and has been serving Swami as a Sevadal Member since 1968. He was the Convenor of the erstwhile Vocational Guidance Program and the Anushakti Nagar Samithi, Mumbai.

He was also the Vice President of the Sri Sathya Sai Center of Huntsville, USA from 1988 to 1992. He served as the the Zonal Coordinator for the Navi Mumbai region. Swami also blessed him with an opportunity to play a key role in some of the important construction projects in Prasanthi Nilayam such as the Planetarium and the Chaitanya Jyothi Museum. To this day, he continues to serve Bhagawan in various capacities, completing over 50 years in the Divine service.
