Weathering a Florida Winter as a Family | NEFL Nest of Gabby & Beau (1/15-1/18)

Описание: While winters in Florida don’t arrive with snowdrifts or frozen lakes, they bring their own challenges. Cold rain, persistent wind, and sudden temperature drops can be especially taxing, particularly for young eaglets that are still learning how to regulate their body heat. Throughout these clips, we see Gabby and Beau doing what seasoned eagle parents do best: feeding well, adjusting the nest, and gently tucking their little ones in when the weather turns rough.

Bald eagles are built for resilience. Their dense feathers trap layers of insulating air, and strong parents use brooding to conserve warmth and block wind and rain. Still, storms require constant awareness.

As wind rattles the nest and rain moves through, the family rides it out together - parents steady and focused, eaglets huddled close, learning firsthand what it means to endure and adapt.
