Jimmy Page Chibson Les Paul purchased January 2025.
Why did I buy this? I love Gibsons, own a few Gibson USA's and well, I didn't own a made in China Chibson USA - lol. That's about it. I'm a huge fan of Jimmy Page too. So, this guitar makes for a nice practice, jamming, and through around guitar. Long story short, I had to get one for myself and check one out for myself. On to my thoughts, etc about the guitar.
The finish is very nice with only very minimal blemish issues. The pickups sound decent and I especially liked them for blues and classic rock licks. It has some weight to it, like Gibsons of old, and to me that's a good thing (to each their own). The neck radius feels a little flat for my taste, but it's fine, and is of course only a personal preference thing.
The only "real" issue I found was two of the screw holes for the toggle switch cover are drilled too close to the edge and are kind of giving out. But, with that said, and I don't know about you, but I've seen that in a LOT of guitars (unfortunately).
The pickups are double slug pickups and I don't really see any reason to replace them, short of wanting 4-wire pickups for wiring mods.
The pots are the smaller "mini" pots, but they function and work fine, so I really can't see any reason to replace those. Unless, of course, I start doing wiring mods. The wiring is not is not the Jimmy Page wiring with push pull pots, etc.
The tuners and bridge seem fine so far and unless issues arise I see no reason to replace those either. The bridge posts are the small/narrow vintage type, not the larger diameter type.
So, short of pickup/wiring mods I don't see any real reason to start swapping out parts at this time.
The strings will need to be changed, which is completely normal. And, while the strings are off I will clean/polish the frets.
Speaking of frets I didn't notice anything really buzzing, etc. The fret board radius is right at 14".
The neck isn't a baseball bat neck, but it's not a slim D or what have ya either. It's got some heft to it, but it's not too thick, at least I don't think so. If you like a thin neck the neck would probably be a bit too chunky for you.
I tuned the guitar up and played it. The action seemed fine, short of being a bit lower than I normally set up my guitars. I checked the intonation an it was pretty close.
All and all, not a bad guitar. If anything changes I might make an update video or perhaps just update my notes here.
UPDATE 1:
After playing for a while I noticed vibration/rattling noises going on. Turns out the screws going thru the bridge/saddles are pretty sloppy on three of the strings. I've contacted the seller/Temu to see what, if anything, they may do. I'll update this update when I find something out...
Temu got back with me and offered a full refund return or exchange for the guitar. I was hoping they would replace just the bridge, but that wasn't an option. I'm not returning the guitar due to the bridge, so I'll find a replacement bridge myself.
UPDATE 2:
I have two other video's that have this Chibson in it.
Here are the links to them.

UPDATE 3:
Well, this isn't so good news. The frets are wearing pretty quickly. The frets are already getting divots in them, quite a few divots. Not sure what these frets are made off, but they are giving out pretty quick like. Bummer...
