Today we are diving into one of the most unique releases of Record Store Day 2026: the 2-disc anniversary set from Jason and Sean Mendelson at @LeeMendelsonFilm (Lee Mendelson Film Productions) celebrating the Charles M. Schulz Peanuts Specials: It's Arbor Day, Charlie Brown (50th Anniversary) and Charlie Brown's All Stars (60th Anniversary).
This isn't just a standard reissue. We’re looking at the 45rpm 10" clear "Baseball" LP and the incredible die-cut "Glove-Shaped" LP. I’ll be reviewing the audiophile restoration by Vinson Hudson and Clark Germain, and discussing the emotional weight of the Arbor Day score—the final music Vince Guaraldi ever recorded before his passing in 1976.
In this video:
• The Packaging: A look at the PVC gatefold and the 6-page trifold insert.
• The Vinyl: Seeing the "Baseball" and "Glove" shapes in action on the turntable.
• The Sound: How these 1966 and 1976 sessions sound after the new restoration.
• The Comparison: Comparing this to standard 33 1/3 Forest Green release.
👇 Are you planning to snag this on RSD? What do you think of the die-cut glove? Let me know!
