BONZO'S DELIGHT! (John Bonham's top of the top put together by Brian Tichy)

Описание: This is the opening audio montage from the John Bonham "The Groove Remains The Same" tribute show that debuted on September 25th, 2010, the 30th anniversary of his passing. While this clip played, a replica of Bonzo's Ludwig Amber Vistalite kit, complete with Paistes, a timpani and gong (thanks to Carmine Appice) was unveiled to the cheering Bonzo/Zep heads!
The concept, a simple one at that, was conceived by me, Brian Tichy. I thought this would be a great idea to tribute to my idol, rock's most influential drummer John Henry Bonham; get a bunch of drummers front and center to perform their fave Zep song on Bonzo's 30th, with an ass-kickin' house band! The show was such a success that two more were put together Jan. 12th and 13th, 2011.

I am beyond proud to have seen this through and proved that you don't need any type of big time corporate whatever to achieve something that is done whole-heartedly and for the right reasons..... this was almost a little party thrown in a rehearsal room with a keg of beer... but with the help of Joe Sutton, we made it a night (and 2 others) none of us will ever forget... ((((to anyone I've forgotten ...please forgive as I am kind of going off the top of my head and I am on tour in South America with Whitesnake and Judas Priest and I'm tired and it's late and I played a show and I had a drink and uh, yeah, all that stuff.. but remind me .... or I'll remember and I'll add in ASAP..... thanks... ))))
