Taking place after the infantrymen of the 3rd U.S. Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard) displayed American drill from the 18th Century, the Regiment's world-renowned Fife and Drum Corps performed for the crowds. While the infantry display was largely historical, this performance was a modern one, closer to the modern Beating Retreat in the UK than to the actual battlefield movements and formations of bandsmen during the 18th Century. -
