Описание: In this video, learn whether your house improvement falls under Permitted Development. Check out the rules for location, property type and property history. Understand how eligibility varies according to the type and age of your property. These preliminary checks are required before you even look at maximum roof height for your extension or permissible width of a dormer window etc.

The video starts by explaining permitted development and how it relates to planning permission, Lawful Development Certificate etc. Locations are then considered. For example, locations not allowed for Permitted Development include Article 2(3) land, also known as designated areas. Type of house allowed is considered, such as Class C3 dwellinghouses. Variations in eligibility vary according to whether the house is detached, semi-detached or terraced.
