West Bengal SIR 2025: REQUIRED DOCUMENTS List! ⚠️ Will YOUR Name Be Deleted? | ECI Guidelines & Proof of Citizenship

Who Needs Documents? If your name OR the name of a parent/relative can be successfully traced to the Last Intensive Revision (2002 Electoral Roll), you typically DO NOT need to submit documents initially.

The Critical Step: Everyone must correctly fill and submit the Enumeration Form (EF) handed out by the Booth Level Officer (BLO).

The Document Trap: You will only be asked to submit documents if your name cannot be linked to the 2002 list, OR if your eligibility (Age/Citizenship) is questioned by the ERO during the subsequent hearing.

The Official 13-Point Document List (Indicative, Not Exhaustive):
If you receive a notice, one or more of the following documents may be required to prove your Age, Residence, or Citizenship:

Birth Certificate issued by a Competent Authority.

Valid Passport issued by the Government of India.

Matriculation/Educational Certificate from a recognised Board/University.

Identity Card/Pension Payment Order (from Central/State Govt/PSU employees/pensioners).

Permanent Residence Certificate (PRC) issued by the State authority.

Any Govt-issued ID/Certificate (Bank, Post Office, LIC, etc.) PRIOR to 01.07.1987.

Forest Right Certificate.

OBC/SC/ST or Caste Certificate.

National Register of Citizens (NRC) (where applicable).

Family Register prepared by State/Local authorities.

Land/House Allotment Certificate from the Government.

Extract of a previous SIR Electoral Roll (like the Bihar SIR 2025 list).

Aadhaar Card (CRITICAL: Only for Identity Proof, NOT Citizenship or Age proof alone).
