Bio:
Anjalie Field is a postdoctoral Fellow at Stanford Data Science, where she works with Professors Dan Jurafsky and Jennifer Eberhardt. Her research focuses on social-oriented natural language processing (NLP). This work includes developing automated approaches to investigating issues like stereotypes, prejudice, and propaganda in text, as well as critically examining the societal impacts of NLP technology. Field received my PhD from the Language Technologies Institute at Carnegie Mellon University in 2022, where she was advised by Professor Yulia Tsvetkov. In Fall 2023, she will begin as an assistant professor in Computer Science at Johns Hopkins University.
