The Farm and fields are build around 500 BC.
It is an exceptional relic of the Iron Age for the Netherlands. Celtic fields consisted of square plots of about forty to forty meters, surrounded by embankments. The embankments were created by the farmers while clearing the fields from stones and putting them to the sides. Farmers from the Iron Age prefer sandy soil. That was easy preparable. If the poor soil was exhausted , the farmer started a new field.
