This tutorial will help you enable battery percentage in the status bar of your iPod touch running any version of iOS. This should work on any firmware and any iPod touch model. The percentage may not be accurate at all times but it's better than nothing.

This tutorial currently supports iOS 7.0-8.2, but will also support any other version if you exclude the "Find my iPod" step shown in this video. When new versions are released (such as iOS 8.3), I will update my subscribers/followers (and this description) with information concerning any new firmwares, enabling battery percentage on an iPod touch, and jailbreak info.
