Описание: The daily video is slightly outside the real path of the channel, but is really a special one for my self. It is dedicated to the memory of the English pianist John Taylor, who passed away on July 18, 2015.

A PERSONAL MEMORY
10 years ago, around this time, I received a phone call that I knew was coming. The evening of the previous day, the English pianist John Taylor had suffered a heart attack during a concert at the Saveurs Jazz Festival in Segré. Immediately rescued, John was taken to a hospital nearby where, during the night, he underwent a heavy surgery, but after a few hours in which he never regained consciousness in the late afternoon of July 18th his heart stopped beating.
I have been lucky enough to collaborate with this extraordinary pianist, and equally extraordinary person, for almost twenty years, since 1997 until his death. Our working collaboration spontaneously and quite soon became a deep friendship. That day, after receiving the news, I sat down at the piano and played this piece: Farewell. Bartok was one of our favorite composers and that way, that day, I wanted to say goodbye to him.
Today, 10 years later, I feel the same feeling of loss and pain again. However, not only pain remains, in fact I keep all the memories, music and extraordinary adventures lived together as a rich and fantastic treasure. What an incredible source of life and light!
