Yet in the face of persistent social expectations about male stoicism, accepting and integrating the vulnerabilities of boys and men remains a challenge for all genders. Learn three compassionate ways to encourage the boys and men you know to honor their full humanity, especially, their difficult emotions and uncertainties.

David is a leadership consultant and educational facilitator specializing in experiential, transformative education. His areas of focus are masculinity, conflict transformation, contemporary rites of passage and improvisational a cappella singing. David is the founder and director of Manology: Exploring 21st Century Masculinity, an on-going course for men and women, and is the Canadian coordinator for International Men’s Day. He has explored male issues and male identity with over 20,000 diverse boys and men across Canada and internationally since 1997. David holds an M.Ed. in social ecology from the University of Western Sydney. He lives in Vancouver.
