I was able to tour the Smoky Hawk and Sky Hawk mines here in Colorado and see first hand where the best Smoky Quartz and Amazonite combos in the world come from! @tim_dorris was kind enough to stop the excavator to explain the unique pegmatite zones found in this region, and I even got to dig a small crystal pocket!
