Mark was overly obsessed with his wife’s femininity. He forbade her from cutting her hair, working, and only wanted her to stay home and take care of him. All of these he believed to be the signs of a true woman. Feeling trapped, Sophie decided to secretly get a job. But no matter how hard she tried, no one would hire her. Her hair, nearly 10 feet long and dragging on the floor, would collect garbage and make people trip. Sophie was an inconvenience despite being a skilled employee. 

Now, she stood before a choice: keep her husband or her freedom.
