Описание: Session contains gentle bodywork followed by a five-stage loving kindness meditation, then (at 44:30) I explore ‘quantum mysticism:’ my own term to describe the tendency to take the insights of physics - quantum mechanics and relativity - and to treat them as if they have spiritual import. I introduce relativity and the Uncertainty Principle; compare the evolutions of technology and culture / religion (citing the opening sequence of the film 2001: A Space Odyssey;) explore the ideas of Stephen Jay Gould; scientism; Buddhism as a rational religion, and finish with a universal exhortation to adopt moral frameworks in addition to whatever mysticism is inspired by science.
