Julio Lemos is a virtuoso 7-string guitarist specializing in Brazilian instrumental music, blending classical guitar technique with influences from Villa-Lobos, Radamés Gnattali, and the choro and samba traditions, inspired by Dino 7 Cordas, Rafael Rabelo, Baden Powell, and Marco Pereira. A professor at the Federal University of Goiás since 2010, he holds a doctorate in music and has recorded with renowned artists like Hermeto Pascoal and Carlos Malta. His international career includes tours and workshops across Europe, the U.S., and China, as well as judging the São Paulo carnival. In 2023 and 2024, he performed extensively in Brazil and abroad, collaborated with major artists, and released his CD/DVD Julio Lemos Brasil Acústico, reinforcing his role as a representative of Brazilian music.
