I head up to Hayward expecting a good day of ice fishing… and instead end up slipping on the ice, fighting the cold, and questioning whether it’s even worth staying out there.

This was one of those days that tests your patience and your body.

After a rough stretch, I stop and pray — and not long after, the line finally moves. Just a simple perch, but a reminder that even on hard days, God still shows up in the small moments.
