People gathered at a Christmas market in Berlin on Tuesday to mourn the victims of an attack that killed 12 people the day before.
The mourners lit candles and lay down flowers at the site of the incident while church bells tolled in the background.
A truck had plowed into a crowd at the Christmas market on Monday night, killing 12 and injuring many others on the Breitscheidplatz square near the iconic Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church.
Local police suspected that the truck used in the attack was stolen from a construction site in Poland and was deliberately driven into the crowd.
Investigators also said that a Polish man was found dead inside the vehicle, but added that he was not in control of it.
The authorities are still investigating the incident.
