WHAT ARE ANTIGENS | How Antigens Work

Описание: What are antigens? Antigens cause an immune response when they go through processing by antigen presenting cells (APCs). They can be found on both infectious (e.g. pathogens such as viruses and bacteria) and noninfectious agents (e.g. dust, foods).

MHC molecules also play a part in how antigens work. They present the processed antigens on the surface of APC cells.
