Multi-instrumentalist Arjen Lucassen (Ayreon) and vocalist/lyricist Anneke van Giersbergen (ex-The Gathering) join forces on The Gentle Storm, an epic production featuring two radically contrasting interpretations of the same songs: acoustic / folk arrangements (Gentle) and a full-on metal assault (Storm).

What could be better?!? I love Anneke's voice, the way of singing and her attitude, and highly enjoy Ayreons creativity in his compositions. And now they are both one one epic record!
I mean, two! Well, actually, four - because they have also released instrumental versions of both cd's
They lack Anneke, of course, but are very nice anyway..
As soon as i found out about The Diary, I had to get this on cd! :)
