The Collector of Treasures by Bessie Head

Описание: The short story "The Collector of Treasures" in the collection of short stories of the same name, introduces the Botswan culture through the incidents related to the central figure Dikeledi Mokopi. Her attachment in the prison with Ebone and in her flashback with Kenalepe bring newer lights to the text and thoughts. The discussion on the postcolonial effect and the frank sexual discussion give the text a new meaning. The differences between the two male Garesego Mokopi and Paul Thebolo raise the issues of the domination as well as the concept of New Male. The African culture and its ups and downs are mentioned in the text.
The video aims to provide the ideas of gender, sex, creed and culture of Head's time. I separated the text and incidents in 5 parts and try my best to clear the concepts related to this.
